The Women Empowering Women Club organized a poetry slam on October 12th. Participants in the club were aloud to go up and perform their either own written poetry or someone else’s work. This gave people the ability to speak their mind Sarah Greenwell is the president of the club and was interviewed to speak all about this Poetry Slam. About 6 people participated in the Poetry Slam and half just provided poetry they liked but most had poetry they made themselves.Overall I think it was a big success and gave people in the club an opportunity to express themselves with no judgement or portray their thoughts in words.
