Volleyball: All About the Seniors

Jenna Chesterman, number 2, was 1 of 4 seniors on the volleyball team. She makes a great contribution as the libero on the team. She says, “I think this year went really well, and our team got along great which made it so much fun! I’m going to miss this year and these girls a lot!”

Kiersten Wood, number 14, also made a huge contribution to the team as a great leader. She always knows how to make the team laugh or smile no matter what. “For me, it was not exactly the senior season I was expecting, because of things that happened in the winter personally, but I am glad I played. This year, we had a lot of incoming talent that really helped us as a varsity team , and I feel like the overall chemistry of everyone on the team was different than in years past.”

Alaina Omonode, had a lot of the same opinions as the other seniors on the team this year. She She is a middle hitter who helps the team score many points on a consistent basis. “I think the season went well, as many of the girls had to adjust to new coaching staff, and I feel like that helped bring us closer as a team. I also feel like I was a good leader to the team, especially as a senior.”

Alex Dexter, or number 6 on the court, is also happy with how her season went this year. “I think volleyball went super well this year. We have all gotten closer as a team on and off the court and the season has been super fun. My favorite part was winning the Jeff tournament!”
