When asked about the fan environment at the game, middle linebacker Lamont Johnson says "It's been a crazy ride, the weather wasn't ideal but a lot of people still showed up and it made it really cool."
Quarterback and James-Madison commit Kyle Adams was asked what he would tell his freshman-year self about what his senior night would turn out to be, he says "high school football went by so fast and I would tell him to enjoy every moment he has left because you never get those moments back."
HoJun Yun was not attending West Side sophomore year, but he came back for his junior and senior year and became a powerhouse on the defensive side of the ball. When asked how it was to come back he says "It was awesome to be able to come back for these last two years and I'm grateful to everyone who made this possible. To feel the community behind us on senior night was great."
If you've been to a WL Football game, you've probably heard the "THAT'S OUR KICKER" chant, well Caleb Krockover is the reason for it. Kicker Caleb says about his time on the team "Being on this team has been a really great experience and we've had a lot of success, the student section is always great and getting to take it all in on senior night was great."
Football's senior night was on October 11th and the cold and rainy conditions were not ideal football weather. However, the team played great and took home a win. Center Joey Gavin says "Senior night was fun, the weather was really bad so the environment wasn't normally what it is for a home game but the fans who showed up were great."
