Songs For Christmas

During the Christmas season, some students are either traveling or just staying around town for Christmas. Wherever you’re going, whether its far or just going for a drive, students love listening to music. Especially during the holiday season, they listen to some of their favorite Christmas songs.

Sophomore Jessica Love said,” every time I am in the car during Christmas the first song I play is ‘Mistletoe’ by Justin Bieber.” Another one of her peers, Kiersten Wood, also agreed that her favorite song to listen during the holidays was ‘Mistletoe’ by Justin Bieber. The song came out in 2011 and is still one of the top songs today.

The top song of all time for Christmas, and is still number one on the charts today, is ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ by Mariah Carey. Sophomore Lamont Johnson said,” my favorite song I love to listen and sing along to during Christmas would definitely be ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You.’ Another sophomore Kerem Keskin likes the song ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ as well, but he also said that he loves the music from the movie Elf, since that is his favorite movie to watch during the holidays.

Students really enjoy listening to music all the time, but during the Christmas season, they have specific songs that they really enjoy and constantly listen to. Even if the song came out awhile ago, most older Christmas songs are classics.
