Students prepare for the SATs
If you’re a high school student, especially at West Side, you’re familiar with the SATs. These nationwide, standardized tests are usually associated with stress, but some students do have methods on how to make the most out of it. Libby Sasser, a junior, took the exam for the first time on January 21st.
Sasser didn’t feel the need to extensively prepare for this session. “This is my first time taking the SAT, so I looked at it like a trial run,” she said. “I feel like you’re really expected to take it more than once.”
To prepare for the next tests, she said, “I’m going to see what I did the worst on from this SAT, and study those things specifically.” She is going to take it again in May, and again in June if she’s not satisfied with her results.
As for advice for other students who are going to take the test in the future, “Don’t stress out about it too much,” she says. “You can take it again and you’ll probably do better than you think you will.”
