Girls Golf

West Lafayette’s girls’ golf team has had one goal in mind for years.  Junior Piper Gorup says “We’re just hoping to improve this year, that’s all we can ask for.”  The team is very close and they are all trying to get better but more importantly having fun.  “Getting to be on the team with three of my best friends makes the atmosphere a lot more fun,” says Gorup about her  friends Emma Pechin, Lydia Shook, and Sarah Folkers.  After a tough year for the Devils last year all the athletes are hoping some new additions to the team can help.  “The seasons short, we want to make the most of the time we have.”  said Piper.  You can see the team compete in the county tournament next Wednesday the sixteenth at Coyote Crossing golf course at 4:15 p.m.
